Upcoming Event: “Designing Online Learning for Multiple Literacies”

dan_photoOn Friday, January 25 at 12pm in 1310 Surge III, Dr. Dan Melzer, Associate Professor of Writing at California State University-Sacramento, will offer a faculty lecture, “Designing Online Learning for Multiple Literacies.”

Melzer is the author of several articles that explore the connections between technology and writing program administration, including “Using Systems Thinking to Transform Writing Programs” (Writing Program Administration, pending Spring 2013) and “WAC Websites as Knowledge Webs” (The WAC Journal, 2006). Melzer has also published a composition reader focused on multiple literacies, Everything’s a Text (2011), as well as a textbook that uses a constructivist, ethnographic approach to introduce students to academic literacy: Exploring College Writing: Reading, Writing, and Researching across the Curriculum (2012).
