What are Audio & Video Briefings?
As part of our initiative to provide faculty members with better resources for teaching with technology, we will develop audio and video guides. We plan to begin with the SmartSite tools you use most frequently – presenting tips for how to set up the tool and innovative techniques for making the tool more effective. We will also create a video tour SmartSite, pointing out the system’s non-intuitive functions.
SmartSite is a valuable resource partly because it is an increasingly prominent way to connect with students. We want to do everything we can to help you leverage the system so it will most benefit your teaching objectives and your students’ learning styles. To that end, this blog will also assess and describe ways you can implement audio and video elements in your classroom. We’ll highlight what other schools are doing, interview UC Davis faculty members, and review articles on the subject.
