FUSS Meeting - Nov 4

The November 4 Faculty Users of SmartSite meeting featured guest speaker Rosemary Capps, academic developer for the Center of Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). Rosemary fielded questions about the recently announced Provost Hybrid Course Award, which offers four awards of $12,500 to faculty members developing hybrid courses.

The goal of the program, Rosemary explained, is to develop four spielautomaten courses per year at a steady pace, increasing UC Davis’ participation in the innovative field of teaching with technology.

Letters of intent are due November 10, formal proposals are due December 15, and the awards will be announced in January 2012. The hybrid courses will be available to students in January 2013.
