Online Instruction Pilot Project, Wave II

The Office of the Provost has sent an Invitation for Letters of Intent for the UC Online Project’s second wave of course development.

The first wave, initiated in October 2010, included faculty-proposed subject matter and emphasized assessing the effectiveness of online instruction. This second wave will focus on “high-enrollment, major gateway courses and lower-division breadth or elective courses.”

The 20 online courses developed through this initiative will be delivered to UC students during the 2012-2013 year, and will be made available to non-UC students as well.

Information webinars were conducted on Thursday, December 1 (12pm-1pm) and on Friday, December 2 (2pm-3pm) via Adobe Connect.

Letters of Intent are due to by noon on January 16, 2012.
