Dear Faculty Users of SmartSite,
Please join us this coming Friday, April 6th at 2pm, for the Faculty Users of SmartSite meeting. Brad Henderson of the University Writing Program will speak about the video lessons and demonstrations that he filmed and shared via SmartSite. We will also discuss copyright and fair use, including accessing the public domain and Creative Commons licenses in order to share others’ copyrighted works (such as images for online and hybrid courses). Campus Creative Commons expert and instructional designer Dan Comins, just back from his Hawaii honeymoon, will share a brief presentation with us. Finally, we will touch upon strategies for teaching with an iPad. Paul Salitsky from Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior, ATS trainer Steve Faith and I will all have our iPads on hand, and we’ll talk informally about ways that we have used them in the classroom.
As always, there will be time to discuss your SmartSite questions and concerns.
