April 7 DOLCE Meeting: Assignments for Diverse Learners -- Join us at noon in 1310 Surge III / The Grove

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

For the April 7th DOLCE, faculty and staff will gather together to discuss strategies for creating, implementing, and assessing responses to assignments for diverse learners. Instructional Designer Fernando Socorro and a team of colleagues in Academic Technology Services have recently been awarded a Diversity and Inclusion Innovation Grant, and we will ask representatives of that team to talk about their “Be the Geek” proposal. Faculty participants will ask to share stories and strategies regarding meeting the learning and support needs of the great diversity of students at UC Davis.

Meetings of DOLCE, which stands for Discussing Online Learning and Collaborative Education, occur every first Friday of the month during the school year. Faculty and staff share strategies for teaching with technology in ways that are student-centered and activity driven with many opportunities for feedback and communication. You are invited to join us on April 7th at noon in 1310 Surge III / The Grove. Feel free to bring a friend, your lunch, and your questions.

Happy springtime to you and your students,

Andy Jones
