Faculty Forum on October 19th at Noon on Diversity and Inclusivity in Teaching at UC Davis

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

The first faculty forum of the 2018-2019 school year takes place tomorrow, October 19th, at noon in 1310 Surge III / The Grove. For this forum, we will discuss ways to address diversity and inclusivity in the teaching of our UC Davis classes. By thoughtfully incorporating technologies into our courses, faculty can continue to work towards better serving all our students.

Dr. Natalia Caporale, from the department of Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior, focuses her research on diversity and equity in science education and will be joining us for our discussion. In addition, Dr. Margaret Merrill, instructional designer for Academic Technology Services, will provide a Universal Design for Learning context, a topic that she covered during a presentation at our Summer Institute on Teaching and Technology in September.

Our faculty forums are driven more by topics than by agendas, and are always enriched by the participation of new faculty with innovative ideas. Therefore, please join us at this Faculty Forum on diversity and inclusivity in teaching this Friday, October 19th at noon in 1310 Surge III / The Grove.

Best,

Andy Jones
