Dear Faculty Colleagues,
The 2019 Summer Institute on Teaching and Technology (SITT) spurred thoughtful discussions of active learning and using instructional technology to promote active students and increased learning. The SITT organizing team offers special thanks to our keynote speaker, Dr. Karen Pollack from the Penn State World Campus, and to our UC Davis faculty microtalk presenters. Each year, microtalk presenters share thoughtful ways in which they have revolutionized their courses through strategic uses of technology.
Should you be interested, we’ve compiled some relevant SITT 2019 materials:
- Google Drive folder with presenter slides and handouts
- Lecture capture of the morning sessions including the keynote and microtalk presentations
- My yearly SITT inspired poem: “On Teaching- Or, How to Build a Fire”
We look forward to continuing these exciting conversations about education and technology at the upcoming DOLCEs and Faculty Forums. Our first DOLCE is October 4th. For more details on speakers and titles, check out the Fall 2019 DOLCE/Faculty Forum flyer.
