Keep Teaching: A Helpful Website for UC Davis Faculty

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

Given the evolving situation around COVID-19, Academic Technology Services has launched a website with the Center for Educational Effectiveness “Keep Teaching.”

This website includes documentation on “Getting Started” which lays out how to keep teaching during this time of upheaval in four steps:

  1. Gather information
  2. Assess and Plan
  3. Communicate
  4. Teach

Each of these steps is described in detail and includes resources to help faculty as they continue to keep teaching.

If you were unable to attend the week 10 webinars in person, recordings are available

In addition, as UC Davis announced March 10th that final exams cannot be delivered in-person, Keep Teaching includes guidance on how to decide on final exam strategies. The guidance includes:

  • Realistic expectations will help both you and your students
  • Learning can be demonstrated in many ways
  • Evaluating course changes for impacts on equity and inclusivity is essential
  • Each assessment method has both pros and cons

We will continue to work to update the Keep Teaching website as this situation evolves. Thank you all for your patience as we work to best support our faculty during this rapidly changing environment.

Best, Andy Jones
