As UC Davis continues to shift to remote teaching in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, instructors may wonder how best to adapt their courses to effectively use instructional technologies.
The strategies in the infographic, “Research Spotlight: Strategies for Remote Teaching and Learning,” reflect recommendations from the UC Davis Keep Teaching website and findings from two recent scholarly articles about teaching during the pandemic. This research spotlight includes multiple, concrete examples of applying university-supported educational technology tools and resources to implement each of the five recommended strategies.
The infographic is linked on the Teaching page of the Keep Teaching website, under the section titled “Remote Teaching Strategies and Tools.” We offer special thanks to Mark Wilson, Senior Instructional Designer at Academic Technology Services, for providing feedback throughout the development of this new resource.
As we begin the fall quarter, we hope this research spotlight helps to guide your exploration of instructional technology tools for your own remote courses.
