Two New Computer Classrooms in Shields

Shields 90BLast year, nearly 1,500 students were waitlisted for classes that met UC Davis’ upper-division writing requirement. To help alleviate these scheduling issues that can delay graduation, the provost and vice provost of undergraduate education added 31 sections of courses that fulfill the requirement. To support the added sections, IET has installed two new computer classrooms in the basement of Shield’s Library: 90A & 90B.

Previously student study spaces, the new classrooms are equipped with Mac computers and seat 28 and 31 students, respectively. The new rooms bring the total of computer classrooms supported by IET’s Computer Lab Management unit to 14.

If you’ve used the classrooms, we’d love to hear about your experience! We also invite any comments regarding your use of the other computer classrooms around campus.
