Welcome to SITT 2023!
Academic Technology Services welcomes you to the 2023 Summer Institute on Teaching and Technology (SITT). For the fourth year in a row, SITT will be fully online, blending live webinars and asynchronous content presented by faculty speakers. This year’s theme, “Small Acts, Big Impacts,” acknowledges the challenge of creating engaging, inclusive, and stimulating learning activities, while also recognizing that even minor improvements in a course can create sizable positive changes in student experiences. SITT will showcase instructors who are creatively using technology to help students succeed one step at a time.
SITT offers attendees a few ways to participate, including joining live talks on September 14 and 15, 2023 and accessing on-demand content that can be viewed before, during, and after SITT.
Register for Live Talks
We will meet virtually between 8:45 am and 1:00 pm PST on September 14 and 15, 2023, for interactive live presentations, and we encourage you to register for each day’s Zoom room now. Please note that you will need to sign up for each day of the conference using the two registration buttons on this page to receive both Zoom links.
Watch On-Demand Talks & Interviews
In addition to live events, SITT also features on-demand faculty talks and interviews with Dr. Andy Jones on a variety of topics related to educational technologies, active teaching, and more.
UC Davis is committed to making its programs accessible to persons with disabilities. If you need an accommodation to participate in this event because of a disability, please contact Dr. Margaret Merrill at mmerrill@ucdavis.edu at least two weeks prior to the program with information regarding the requested accommodation.
If you are experiencing trouble accessing live events or content on this site, please contact instructionaldesign@ucdavis.edu to request assistance.
Thanks to the Academic Technology Services graphic design and illustration team for designing the SITT graphics each year, and especially to Rob Riedel for this year's visual.
