December 12th Gradescope Update

Hello Friends and Colleagues,

I’m writing with a short update on developments involving Gradescope at UC Davis.

“Gradescope: Information for Faculty” article updated: We’ve added information about using Gradescope with UC Davis Canvas, a comparison with Speedgrader, and some sample syllabus language to the “Gradescope: Information for Faculty” article for UC Davis faculty.

Gradescope use so far: As of December 12, approximately 75 instructors and 180 TAs were using Gradescope in 115 classes that enroll 18,786 students. Gradescope is quickly becoming a mainstream grading tool at UC Davis, meaning that we are returning assessment results to our students more quickly and more consistently than we could before.

Webpage coming soon: During the winter break, IET programmers and the faculty support team will complete and then post a webpage with information and reference materials about Gradescope. Stay tuned!

Look for more opportunities to learn about Gradescope during the winter quarter. We invite you to forward this message to any of your colleagues at UC Davis who might be interested in this useful new tool.

For more information about Gradescope, please visit the Gradescope website.
