Audio and Video from the December 13th DOLCE
Dear Faculty Colleagues,
Audio and video are now available for the December 13th DOLCE on actionable approaches to making your course more accessible. This hands-on workshop was led by Dr. Margaret Merrill, Instructional Designer and Educational Technologist with Academic Technology Services, Larissa Saco, Graduate Student Researcher with Academic Technology Services, and Joshua Hori, Accessible Technology Analyst for the Student Disability Center.
Topics covered in this workshop include:
- Understanding the importance of accessibility
- Using the Canvas Accessibility checker
- Creating accessible PDFs
- Making multiple formats of documents accessible using Sensus Access
The slides are available for your review. Please also see the compilation of other resources related to accessibility at UC Davis and the one-page guide on “How to Make Your Canvas Course More Accessible.”
Stay tuned for more exciting DOLCE and Faculty Forums in Winter quarter 2020 to be announced during the first week of classes. As for right now, please reserve every first and third Friday at noon so you can join us in 1310 The Grove (beginning with a faculty forum on teaching with video).
Enjoy your holidays! Best,
Andy Jones
