DOLCE on TopHat and LibreTexts, featuring three UC Davis faculty

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

Please join us on Zoom for our February DOLCE, Discussing Online Learning and Collaborative Education, event at 12 noon on Friday, February 4th!

We have two topics lined up that we anticipate will be of interest to you. First, we will hear from faculty members who teach with TopHat, a student response system that also allows faculty to assign readings in interactive textbooks, hold discussions, and offer formative assessments that keep their students engaged. Faculty speakers will include Tran Nguyen from Environmental Toxicology and Bwalya Lungu from Food Science and Technology.

Second, Delmar Larsen will give us an update on LibreTexts, an innovative platform he developed to provide free electronic textbooks to students at UC Davis and internationally.
