In this interview, Dr. Verbitsky discusses different techniques experimented with in remote learning, the tools and practices that were carried forward into in-person teaching and learning, and the expected tensions between accommodation of all students (including those who prefer to learn remotely) and active participation.
About the Interviewee
Mark Verbitsky is an Assistant Professor of Teaching in the Political Science department, teaching classes on constitutional law and American political theory. Among his pedagogical interests are teaching students learning skills, including undergraduates as part of the teaching team (learning assistants), and integrating non-knowledge based learning outcomes into his courses.
