Faculty Forum on February 16th at Noon -- Teaching Students with Disabilities

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

I hope you can join us for the February 16th Faculty Forum on teaching students with disabilities. We will be joined by Jennifer Billeci, Director of the Student Disability Center, and Todd Van Zandt, the Academic Technology Services Canvas LMS Manager to discuss ways faculty can, as the SDC website says, encourage “independence and integrated participation in campus [and classroom] life for students with disabilities.”

As a member of the UC Davis Testing Services Work Group, I’ve learned a lot about ways that the campus strives to meet the needs of our students with disabilities. I’ve also had fascinating conversations with other faculty about setting up our courses so that they reward many different kinds of learning (and assessment). If you have questions about any of these processes, please join us February 16th at noon in 1310 Surge III.
