Dr. Eisen Recognized in Time for Fighting for a More Equal America
Dear Faculty,
Dr. Jonathan Eisen, Professor in the department of Evolution and Ecology, has recently been named by Time as one of 16 impressive people and groups fighting for equality in America. The article “These 16 People and Groups Are Fighting for a More Equal America” highlights how Dr. Eisen has used social media to push back against the lack of female representation in conferences.
Dr. Eisen discussed his use of social media in an AudioBlog entry from Winter 2019 posted on The Wheel in the article “AudioBlog Entry: Jonathan Eisen on Sharing of Scientific Discoveries and Knowledge with Social Media.” In his 30-minute interview, Dr. Eisen shared first-hand his experience using social media.
