Ed Tech Week welcomes returning faculty to winter instruction and to Academic Technology Services
Dear Faculty Colleagues,
With winter instruction beginning next week, you’re likely busily preparing the lessons, assignments, and assessments that will help students achieve the learning outcomes of your classes. Whether you’re new to teaching or a classroom veteran, Academic Technology Services stands ready to help you set up content and tools for your courses, including by assisting with developing Canvas materials, producing instructional media, introducing you to new teaching technologies, and more.
Now in its second year, our start-of-term program Ed Tech Week offers targeted assistance to faculty gearing up for 10 weeks of intensive learning. For winter 2023, we have three live webinar offerings in addition to cultivated asynchronous resources, such as recordings of past webinars and links to frequently-used help documents. New for this quarter is a live online Ed Tech Spotlight training from our partners at Piazza, the Q&A and discussion tool that integrates into your Canvas courses. Visit our Ed Tech Week information page to register for live events and to learn more.
And keep checking our instructional technology blog, The Wheel, to learn more about our upcoming noon faculty forums on the first and third Friday of each month during the school year. Our next event is scheduled for January 20, 2023.
Happy New Year!
