SITT 2023 logo: Small Acts, Big Impacts

Please register now for the The Summer Institute on Teaching and Technology (September 14 and 15)

Dear UC Davis Friends and Colleagues,

The Summer Institute on Teaching and Technology (SITT) returns soon, and we would love for you and your faculty colleagues to join us! Keeping in mind this year’s theme—Small Acts, Big Impacts—SITT 2023 will showcase UC Davis faculty who creatively use technology to help students succeed one step at a time.

We will meet virtually the mornings of September 14 and 15 for interactive live presentations, and we encourage you to register for each day’s Zoom room on the SITT website now. Please note that you will need to RSVP for each day of the conference to receive both Zoom links. Each live talk will offer about 30 minutes of presentation, followed by 15 minutes of Q&A from the audience. We’re excited for the lively discussion from members of the UC Davis community.

In addition to the two days of live talks, SITT 2023 also features on-demand presentations and interviews from UC Davis faculty and staff that you can begin watching today—more content will be added over the coming weeks. For the second year in a row, attendees will also have an opportunity to speak with several on-demand presenters during panel sessions on September 15, moderated by members of the SITT Advisory Committee. More information about the panel session will follow closer to the event.

Please RSVP today to join us on Zoom the mornings of September 14 and 15, and please share this opportunity with your UC Davis colleagues, for we hope the event will spark actual and virtual hallway discussions that will improve our teaching throughout the school year. If you have any questions or concerns, drop the SITT team a message at InstructionalDesign@ucdavis.edu.

See you on September 14 and 15 for SITT, our biggest event of the year!
