Prepare for the Spring Term with ATS Ed Tech Week

Preparing educational technologies for your next class can be a daunting task. Academic Technology Services stands ready to help.

Beginning the week of March 28, ATS will host a series of live online events and share a series of asynchronous resources to support faculty. Our live workshop topics will include using Modules to organize your Canvas course, making effective use of instructional video, and reusing previously-recorded lecture videos to provide students a more multimodal and more interactive learning experience. (These events will be recorded.)

We’ve curated support documents to help faculty find beginning-of-quarter teaching solutions, and we will host live online workshops where you can consult with instructional designers and educational technologists who specialize in online, blended, and technology-mediated teaching. Participants will also have opportunities to schedule one-on-one or small group consultations to address specific questions and needs.

Find the list of resources and events in the Ed Tech Week section here on our instructional technology blog, The Wheel, where we’ve added a new main menu item for easy access. Here you’ll find links to RSVP for live online workshops and support addresses to connect with our team.

We hope to see you during Ed Tech Week and on first and third Fridays at noon via Zoom throughout the spring quarter so we can share more on how technology can improve teaching and learning experiences across all courses at UC Davis.
