The fall start is again upon us, and as faculty scramble to set up courses and kick off the quarter, the team at Academic Technology Services (ATS) stands ready to help you set up technologies for classes, design learning experiences for students, and produce professional instructional video and graphics. Our latest Top 10 Services flier describes our most popular services to make finding assistance a little bit easier. A few highlights:

  • Canvas and LMS-integrated Tools - You can find resources for UC Davis Canvas and its integrated tools at canvashelp.ucdavis.edu. See a full list of supported technologies that work well with Canvas, or schedule a consultation with a technologist to troubleshoot your particular challenges. And remember you can find 24/7 chat and phone support from the Help icon in any Canvas screen.
  • Instructional Design - Would you like help adapting your curriculum for flipped, hybrid, or online teaching? Maybe you'd like assistance adopting a new tool for your courses. ATS instructional design consultants can talk through your goals with you and help you make pedagogically-informed choices about weaving technologies into your teaching.   • Educational Technology Resource Awards (ETRAs) - Producing your own media for teaching can be a daunting task, but what would you create if a professional was on hand to help you bring your ideas to life? Typically only available as recharge services, the media specialist assistance with video, graphic design, illustration, audio recording, photography, and animation has been made possible through small ETRA grants designed to lower the financial barriers that can discourage faculty from utilizing the amazing skills of our creative professionals.
