Video from the January Faculty Forum on Open Educational Resources (OER)
Dear Faculty Colleagues,
Thanks to everyone who participated in our “Teaching With Open Educational Resources” event on Friday, January 17th. We’ve received a bunch of (only) positive feedback, and I’m sure we piqued the interest of the more than 20 attendees in OER and their use in current or future classes.
Muchísimas gracias to our invited participants, Professor Claudia Sánchez-Gutiérrez from Spanish and Portuguese and Sheena Campbell from UC Davis Libraries, both innovators in this field. We also heard from Delmar Larsen and Heather J. Heather from UC Davis, Cristina Moon from Chabot College, and Larry Cooperman from UC Irvine, as well as others during the conversation.
Enjoy this short preview before reviewing the full recording of our January 17 Faculty Forum.
Please plan to join us for our next DOLCE event on February 7.

Special request from Claudia Sánchez-Gutiérrez: “I would like to share with you a survey I developed with two co-fellows of the California Alliance for Open Education about the challenges and opportunities of OERs in higher education. If you all had 15 minutes to respond to the survey, that would be fantastic! So far, most of our respondents are from the CCC and CSU, but UC campuses are really underrepresented. Here is the survey: https://ucdavis.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0MoLe2koE6nsxBs”
