In the Fall of 2020, I taught four courses and created new assessments for each. My presentation will discuss key innovations in assessments given the various course levels and sizes and I will walk through how exactly I used canvas and gradescope to build more project based assessments.

About the Presenter

Janine LF Wilson has been teaching in the Department of Economics at UC Davis since 2005 where she is the currently the Chair of Undergraduate Studies and an Associate Professor of Teaching Economics. Janine worked extensively with both CEE and ATS as she developed and redesigned her courses under the Provost's Hybrid Course Award and various ILTI awards from the UCOP. Her research is focused on understanding performance gaps in introductory economics courses, designing the most effective set of teaching tools to close these gaps and creating an inclusive major.
