Description
Dr. Joe Anistranski, a lecturer in Human Ecology who recently left UC Davis for the greener pastures of Portland, Maine, titled his talk "Four Years, No Scantrons: A Retrospective." In this conversation, Joe detailed how purposefully avoiding one technology choice (Scantron testing) during his time at UC Davis opened many opportunities to explore learning differently. Joe discusses making technological choices _on purpose_ to support teaching and learning goals. As Joe says, "Technology opens opportunities and limits them, and we'll focus on both."
