FLIP Tomorrow: Advanced Camtasia

We hope you'll be able to join us for the Future in Learning and Practice (FLIP) workshop tomorrow (2060 Sciences Lab, 12pm-1:30pm). Dan Comins, instructional designer at Academic Technology Services, will focus the workshop on advanced uses of Camtasia, the video editing tool.

For more details, please see his invitation below:

I just wanted to remind you that the next FLIP workshop is happening tomorrow at Noon in Science Laboratory 2060.  In this workshop we'll be building on what we learned last month about Camtasia by exploring some more advanced techniques.  Specifically, you'll learn how to make simple titles (including "lower thirds" - don't worry if you don't know what that term is all about – you will after the session!), a few common techniques for combining video and slides together, adding interactivity in the form of "hot spots" and questions interleaved in the video, and we'll wrap up by talking about exporting your final video (because I forgot to talk about that last month).

I'll also give you a preview of next month's special "virtual FLIP" where we are going learn about using Adobe Connect to host webinars by actually participating in a live, interactive, AC session!

Good luck with end of quarter projects and grading!

Dan
