About the Interviewee
Naomi Janowitz is a Professor of Religious Studies at the University of California, Davis. She teaches classes on the religions of late antiquity, psychoanalytic approaches to religion, and taboos. Awarded the Academic Senate Distinguished Teaching Award, Professor Janowitz helps her students and her colleagues meaningfully reflect upon the tools and purposes of a university education.
