January 16th Faculty Forum on Teaching Effectively with Video

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

Please join us for our January Faculty Forum on this Friday, January 16, from 12–1pm, via Zoom. This month we will hold an open-ended faculty forum on teaching effectively with video, providing an opportunity for all of us to share experiences, questions, and promising practices with colleagues across campus.

Rather than depending upon assigned speakers or formal presentations, for this event, we will seed the room with faculty “plants” who have been experimenting with PlayPosit, lecture capture, and our E-Learning Studio, and who are eager to join the conversation. We also welcome your stories, questions, and aspirations, and we look forward to a wide-ranging discussion about our creative and effective use of instructional video. If you would like to be called upon to share a story, feel free to let me know via email. We love to hear from new voices on their teaching innovations.

Please register now so you can join us on Friday, January 16th at noon. If you are unable to attend live, you can visit The Wheel, our campus instructional technology blog, in the following week to watch the recording.

Following the forum, we will host a 30-minute “Introduction to PlayPosit” webinar from 1-1:30pm taught by Stephanie Gates from PlayPosit.

I look forward to seeing you on January 16th for what I know will be an engaging and energizing conversation.
