Welcome to SITT 2026!
Welcome to the 2026 Summer Institute on Teaching and Technology! We hope you'll join us.
As you can see from the SITT agenda, SITT 2026 features UC Davis faculty and staff during two half-days of live online presentations the mornings of September 10 and 11, as well as a library of on-demand talks and interviews you can watch at your convenience.
As UC Davis faculty, we design learning experiences that center what humans can do together. Authentic teaching in a tool-rich world requires that we consider what kinds of thinking, inquiry, and interaction cannot be outsourced. SITT presenters and interviewees will discuss how to design assignments that draw on students’ lived experience, foreground in-person dialogue and group work, and emphasize revision, reflection, and learning from mistakes.
We invite faculty navigating these challenges to work with the resources available to us. When used strategically, campus-supported tools can expand access, support different learning methods, and open new pathways for engagement. SITT participants will learn to make more thoughtful choices about when to incorporate technology, when to set it aside, and how to design courses that prioritize presence, curiosity, and meaningful exchange.
Register in Zoom now to receive the single Zoom URL for both days of live virtual sessions, and browse on-demand talks & interviews (coming soon!) to see pre-recorded short videos on a variety of topics.
