- Special Event - Let's Do This! Uplifting and Engaging Students in Flexible Classroom Spaces - March 11th from 12-1pm.
- Dr. Cara Sandholdt (School of Nursing) will share her lessons learned for engaging and uplifting students in high-flexible and interactive classrooms with an emphasis on promoting critical thinking and long-term retention. Dr. Sandholdt has taught in flexible learning classrooms at UC Davis Betty Irene Moore Hall since 2018 year, when she was also an Active Learning Fellow.
- Workshop Certificate Series – Apply to the Teaching and Learning Complex Certificate Series for Spring 2022
- The Center for Educational Effectiveness is excited to announce the 5-part Teaching and Learning Complex (TLC) Certificate Series. The TLC Series is designed to support instructors who are, will be, or would like to be teaching with active learning strategies in the new building that features flexible classrooms.
- The TLC Certificate Series is designed to support instructors who are or will be teaching in the newly-constructed Teaching and Learning Complex, which features flexible classrooms designed and equipped to enhance instructors’ ability to facilitate active learning and maximize student engagement. The five-workshop series discusses interactive teaching strategies, learning technologies, techniques for managing groups, and team-based and collaborative assessments. In addition, CEE will share several evidence-based, equity-focused, and practical resources, strategies, and tools instructors can immediately apply when teaching in the TLC classroom (as well as other flexible learning spaces on campus). Applications to the Series are due March 15th.
