Watch a faculty discussion about Constructive Use of AI by Faculty and Students at UC Davis

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

Thanks to everyone who attended our Faculty Forum on Friday, October 17th on AI as a Teaching and Tutoring Tool. We were thrilled that 81 people attended this event, our greatest participation since immediately after the release of the tool ChatGPT.

At this event, we discussed strategies for harnessing the power of generative AI, as well as ongoing concerns about academic integrity. Review the video to see why so many people joined us for this discussion.

Also, enjoy this short preview video before you review the full recording of our October 2025 Faculty Forum. Please check out the transcript of the chat. As one attendee said, “The chatline is a treasure.”

Please plan to join us every first and third Friday of the month at noon (via Zoom) for forums like this one. We will all learn more when faculty representing the great diversity of interests and teaching experiences can join us.
