About the Interviewee
Brad Starkey-Owens is the Digital Accessibility Program Manager for The UC Davis Office of Compliance and Policy. Brad comes to UCD with a decade of experience building and running accessibility programs, most recently with Sonoma State University where he developed and implemented a campus-wide accessible procurement program and coordinated Sonoma State’s Accessible Technology Initiative Committee.
Prior to his time with Sonoma State, Brad worked in Disability Services and Assistive Technology at Solano Community College. He also has experience consulting on accessibility solutions and best practices to support students with diverse learning needs. Brad is a current doctoral candidate at Cal State East Bay, conducting research with Autistic students in asynchronous and self-directed learning environments.
