Integrating AI into an Online Programming Course

Joel Ledford

Description

Generative AI has rapidly transformed teaching and learning, particularly in computer science. As the instructor of a foundational, fully online programming course, I have adopted an approach to AI integration that helps students develop proficiency while reinforcing core programming concepts. AI is integrated throughout the course, from its overall design and management to low-stakes assessments. In this video, I describe the philosophy behind AI use in the course and demonstrate key elements of the instructional workflow.
