Video from recent presentations by Lisa Oakes, Shannon Klotz, and Katie Evans on Teaching Collaboratively

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

Thanks to everyone who attended our DOLCE on Friday, May 1st, 2026.

In this session, we explored opportunities for collaboration in the classroom. Lisa Oakes and Shannon Klotz shared how they use Perusall to move beyond basic reading compliance toward collaborative annotation, shared preparation, and meaningful student interaction. Katie Evans then described her work co-creating AI use policies with students, emphasizing transparency and student agency.

Enjoy this short preview before you review the full recording of the May 1st DOLCE. Thanks for your interest.

Please plan to join us every first and third Friday of the month at noon (via Zoom) for forums like this one. We next meet on May 15th to discuss our summer plans for improving our classes.

Regarding summer plans, plan also to join us for the 2026 Summer Institute on Teaching and Technology, to take place on September 10 and 11. We will discuss “Authentic Teaching in a Tool-Rich World” at this two-day Zoom conference, and we would love to see you there! We are also looking for SITT presenters. See the registration page for details.
