Description

When we transitioned back to in-person teaching, many of us adopted modes of delivery to increase flexibility for our students, but unfortunately, one of the side effects was some in-person attendance declined. To help encourage attendance and class participation, I developed in-class activities completed on the Canvas LMS that served as formative assessments and incentives to attend class. In this presentation, I’ll discuss the development of these low-stakes formative assessment, including how the Canvas LMS was integral in the delivery, and the student feedback.

The recording includes a short review of Day 1 and preview of Day 2 from Dr. Andy Jones. Presentation begins at 9:14.
