UC Davis Faculty speakers and faculty attendees are eager to discuss elements of this year’s theme—Digital Divisions, Digital Multiplications.

We are so excited to announce the live speakers for SITT 2024! When you check out the speakers and their presentation titles and descriptions, you will see that we have filled six slots with 14 speakers, meaning that we will benefit from hearing multiple faculty perspectives on presentations concerning student presentations, inclusive teaching, generative AI, hybrid classes, and effective assessment of student writing.

Thanks to everyone who attended our Faculty Forum on Friday, May 17th. As you will see from the video, our cozy group discussed topics that might come up at the 2024 Summer Institute on Teaching and Technology, including detecting plagiarism, teaching with AI, hybrid teaching, etc. The chat provided an excellent reminder of the sense of camaraderie, community, and mutual support which infuses SITT with optimism and good cheer.

On Wednesday, February 28th, 2024, the Davis Language Center (DLC), several language programs, and Academic Technology Services (ATS) joined forces to host the event “AI-Powered Language Instruction: Innovative Strategies and Applications” for the UC Davis community.

On Friday, May 17th at noon (via Zoom), Academic Technology Services will be hosting our final Faculty Forum of the school year, and we hope you will join us.

As you may have heard, the 2024 Summer Institute on Teaching and Technology (SITT) takes place on September 12 and 13, and will feature presentations, interviews, and conversations with UC Davis faculty with stories to tell about past and current innovations in teaching and teaching with technology.
